“When You Visualize, Then You Materialize.”

Visualize…!! See It, Feel It. This is where action begins.

Imagine if everything went the way you wanted: your workouts, your relationships, your grandest career ambitions. Visioning can bring your life goals into clearer focus — and help you make them a reality. Daydreaming has gotten a bad rap as a time-waster. The fact is, conjuring up mental pictures of your ideal relationship, job, house or body might actually be a very profitable way to spend your time. Visioning experts assert that when you actively imagine something you really desire, it prepares your mind for that reality, predisposing your subconscious to help manifest it — by noticing things you otherwise might not. Essentially, visioning is a little like yoga for your brain cells — a chance for your mind to stretch and re-form itself around the experiences you’d like to have, thus creating the mental space and emotional energy for them to happen in actuality.

Amal Academy is a Stanford University-funded venture that helps Pakistani youth develop the professional skills needed to achieve their career dreams. After an intense application, a phone interview, and a selection conference, I was accepted as one of the fellows in batch 172. I had no idea how much I would learn from my experience with the organization in the coming months. Half-way through my fellowship, the diverse people, inspiring lectures, leadership training and humbleness continue to inspire my journey at Amal. Let’s dive deep into what I have learned and experienced during my first two weeks at Amal Academy.❤

I am an introvert, so meeting with strangers, chatting with them, and starting a conversation is not my thing. Here comes the day of the 1st session. I was a bit nervous. I was very nervous as I saw unfamiliar faces on my screen. But I remain positive and motivated for this learning experience. As I have just one thing in mind, “Don’t give up, the beginning is always the hardest, so let’s keep on going till the very end.

Activity to create a poster on our values

Now, when this fellowship is entering into its last phase, I am writing this to just sit back and remember the fruitful moments from this fellowship. From the first day of this fellowship, the learning environment is something that attracted me to participate more and more. This fellowship helped me to come out of the comfort zone and be the best of myself. For the first two weeks, I learned about the ‘Amal Values’. It was a great experience to learn about Amal Values. It provided us with a strong platform to work on. Amal Academy taught about the Amal values which were Responsibility, Humility, Growth, Acceptance, and Honesty. We were asked to have an activity to write our own values so we can remember them even after the fellowship. In this regard, I made a poster to remember my values and they are still there which reminds me that life becomes easier when you acknowledge and honor your values, they will still exist whether you recognize them or not, however, if you start including them in your decisions you will feel more content.

Activity on Leadership without authority

Self-Discovery plays an important role in a person’s life as it helps you reflect on your life and experiences to help you determine your goals and aspirations. Whether you are seeking a professional career, an entrepreneurial venture, or academics, knowing yourself and your abilities will help you clarify the path you want to take in life. Amal taught us leadership through a concept of everyday leadership and also by bringing in world-class leaders lectures while simultaneously teaching us to be honest at what we do. The continuous appreciation which I received from my fellows regarding my time management and leadership skills kept me motivated throughout the whole fellowship to give my 100% as well. We were engaged in an activity to practice leadership without authority. I still remember those days of fellowship, while it was an online experience but a lot to learn by having such kind of activities.

A Gift Overdue Activity

The most favorite learning of mine was gratitude part. Everyone gave appreciation to each other and every one showed their positivity. We were also engaged in activity of giving A Gift Overdue. This experience of writing a gratitude letter for my dearest one was amazing. As, it was an opportunity to thank someone who’s mile apart from me but I thanked her over her such a beautiful and overwhelming behavior.

My experience in this fellowship is one of the best moments I’ve ever had. Because the reason I joined was to improve my soft skills, and this fellowship not only helped me in achieving that target, but also the learning experience it provided will definitely help me later in life. When it comes to goodbye, it’s very hard for me to let go. I have learned and enjoyed this fellowship that made me attached and nostalgic. We became an Amal family in this journey.

“Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.” Sir Winston Churchill

As we all know that nothing is permanent in this world, same as we all had to leave this journey.

I love my fellow fellows ❤️💜💙

I want others students to take a step ahead, Amal Academy will enhance your capabilities.

In the end I want to be thankful to Amal academy.

THANK YOU AMAL ACADEMY FOR BEING MY BRIDGE ❤️
